“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.”- Phil 3:10
It is exciting to know that the story of Christ’s coming and His redemption work on our behalf did not end with His death. If it had ended there, it certainly means that His coming and his work were in vain and no human being is saved yet.
It is also gratifying to know that the power that God released to raise His son from, the dead is called the “exceeding great power” (Eph 1:19) or the “standard of the Spirit” (Isa 59:19) and this power works towards or for every believer in Christ. You and I could imagine how awful, and irresistible the power of the enemy was that held the Lord Jesus down to ensure that He did not rise from the dead. This was physically expressed when the soldiers acting on the instructions of their superiors rolled a heavy stone to block the tomb in which Jesus laid and heavily guarded it to prevent anything embarrassing from happening.
So, for Christ to have risen from the dead according to the witnesses of the scriptures, it showcases the power of God that is irresistible to the greatest or highest manifestation of the power of the evil one.
Beloved, since this power of His resurrection works in and for every believer; you and I should trust God and pray that it works henceforth in every situation and aspect of your lives. There should be no more stagnation, limitation, hindrances, delay, corruption, and spiritual bondage again in our lives in Jesus name. Amen.
Your Vicar & Friend.
